At Anchor Fence, our engineering staff designed the aluminum cantilever gate in the mid 1960s. And these 25-plus years of experience assure that you’ll receive a proven sliding gate, that performs with safe, maintenance-free operation in the toughest situations.

What makes the Anchor cantilever gate different from other gates is its one-piece rigid frame welded at the factory, as well as the patented roller-bearing truck assembly. Anchor’s exclusive truck assembly operates inside the one-piece track/frame member, thus assuring a smooth, safe and easy gliding motion. There’s no roller wheel assembly, so a gentle push is all that’s required to open or close the gate.
Inside the frame, factory lubricated and sealed roller bearings provide practically maintenance-free performance. Nylon rollers on the truck assembly provide friction-free lateral movement control from inside the truck.
But the real advantage of the Anchor Duraglide cantilever gate is found in what it won’t do. Entirely supported at the top gate frame member, the Anchor Duraglide is almost impossible to topple. And, equipped with 3/8-inch diagonal truss rods, with adjustable turn-buckles, our gate is free of sags and will not warp. The enclosed truck assembly means that inquisitive hands can’t be pinched or crushed by exposed rollers.
And rugged performance - regardless of the weather.
Because Anchor Duraglide’s roller bearings are completely enclosed within a one-piece, track/frame member, the vital internal components are unaffected by the elements. Snow. Ice. Dirt. Destructive forces that can quickly jam the exposed rollers of other gates, have no effect upon Anchor’s roller bearing systems, simply because they can’t come into contact with these vital parts.
The gate frame is constructed of aluminum, which by nature is extremely resistant to corrosion. And because the frame is constructed of 2-inch square aluminum tubing, it is considerably stronger than gates constructed of round steel pipe. The aluminum frame weighs approximately one-third as much as a steel frame, resulting in a strong, lightweight gate that can be easily and effortlessly operated by hand.
The need for embedded ground tracks, which are recommended for all ground-rolling gates, has been completely eliminated due to the fact that Anchor’s Duraglide gate has no ground-rolling wheels. Therefore, entrances need not be cleared constantly of debris such as snow, ice or gravel. Anchor’s Duraglide gate will literally slide over obstacles such as water, curbs and railroad tracks - an impossibility for ground-rolling gates.
And, unlike swing gates and other styles of slide gates, Anchor’s Duraglide gate requires minimal operating room, thus conserving valuable yard space.
